Doppelherz® für Tiere Omega-3 Oil for Joints is a complementary feed for cats and dogs, combining high-quality oils and specially selected active ingredients to support joint metabolism in osteoarthritis:
- Salmon oil provides the two essential omega-3 fatty acids EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), while flaxseed oil and hemp seed oil are rich sources of ALA (alpha-linolenic acid) and GLA (gamma-linolenic acid). Essential omega-3 fatty acids have been shown in numerous studies to support inflammatory processes resulting from joint problems.
- Green-lipped mussel powder (Perna canaliculus) is a source of GAGs (glycosaminoglycans), essential omega-3 fatty acids, and chondroitin.
- Vitamin E and manganese are important antioxidants. Together with the amino acid methionine, they support joint metabolism.
- Chondroitin is a naturally synthesized substance in the body and is an essential component of cartilage tissue. It keeps the joint surface smooth and elastic.
- The active substance in devil's claw root (Harpagophytum procumbens) is harpagoside. It promotes metabolism in tendons, ligaments, and joints.
Analytical constituents: Crude protein 1.6%, crude fat 91.2%, crude fiber 0%, crude ash 1.4%, omega-3 fatty acids: 210 g/kg, eicosapentaenoic acid 12 g/kg, docosahexaenoic acid 18 g/kg, methionine 1500 mg/kg, manganese 80 mg/kg, vitamin E 7700 mg/kg.
Ingredients: Salmon oil (54.4%), flaxseed oil (27.6%), hemp seed oil (9.2%), green-lipped mussel powder (3.3%), chondroitin sulfate (0.7%).
Additives per kg: Flavoring: devil's claw extract 22 g.
Feeding recommendation: To dissolve all solid substances, please shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
Dosage:
Cats and dogs up to 10 kg – 5 ml (1 tsp)
Dogs up to 25 kg – 10 ml (2 tsp)
Dogs over 25 kg – 15 ml (3 tsp)
If your pet has not yet received complementary food containing oils, the daily amount should be increased to the recommended amount over one week.
Recommended duration of use: initially up to 3 months. It is recommended to seek veterinary advice before use or before extending the period of use.
