Essential Balance is a special food from the Essential Foods collection, containing only one protein – turkey meat. Essential Balance is suitable in some of the following cases:
- Looking for a low-protein food? Balance has only 20%! You can increase the protein by mixing Balance with any of the other Essential Living foods. For example, 75% Balance together with 25% Essential Superior Living will result in 22.5% protein, and so on.
- If your dog has issues with stool consistency or a sensitive stomach. The combination of turkey, rice, and oats is carefully selected to balance the digestive system. Essential Balance can be served on its own or in combination with any of the other Essential foods.
- If you want a more economical option, but still with Essential quality. This option is also a good solution for larger consumers.
- If your dog suffers from allergies. Balance is a single-protein source food. This way, allergies caused by eggs, chicken, lamb, beef, and fish can be avoided.
The BOF Principle: Behavioral Optimizing Food (BOF) is a principle for reproducing natural food. This means that blood sugar levels are kept stable.

- fruits, seeds, and herbs mimic the contents of prey's stomach
- the size and shape of the kibbles are chosen for easier chewing and swallowing

Gradually mix the old food with Essential over 4 to 7 days until you fully switch to Essential. It is possible that in the first few weeks you may notice a change in metabolism.
