WHAT IS FRONTLINE COMBO®?
Frontline COMBO® is a product against external parasites (insecticide / acaricide) in dogs and cats.
The two active ingredients provide a dual action:
FIPRONIL is an insecticide and acaricide with long-lasting action. Kills fleas, ticks and biting lice on contact. Parasites do not need to suck blood to die.
S - METOPRENE is a flea growth inhibitor and breaks their developmental cycle.
HOW FRONTLINE COMBO® WORKS
Frontline COMBO® kills fleas, ticks, biting lice
Frontline COMBO® kills parasites on contact - fleas and ticks must come into contact with the animal's coat, which has the active substance of the product on it. It acts on the nervous system of fleas and ticks, but does not affect the nervous system of mammals. Therefore, it is extremely safe.
S-metoprene disrupts the life cycle
By interrupting the flea development cycle, Frontline COMBO® prevents the development of new fleas in the environment inhabited by the animals. This minimizes the possibility of re-infestation of the animal.
Fact: Only 5% of fleas are
on dogs and cats!
Fleas cause not only annoying itching but also skin inflammations and allergies. Complete protection from these parasites should be aimed simultaneously at:
ADULT FLEAS, which are visible on the dog and cat;
EGGS, which, laid on the body of the dog and cat, fall into the places the animal visits most often - the animal's bed, carpets, furniture...;
LARVAE, which hatch from the eggs;
PUPAE, which are extremely resistant and very difficult to destroy
Frontline COMBO® interrupts the development of fleas by killing not only adult fleas but also their eggs and larvae.
Ticks - a serious threat! Frontline COMBO® is proven protection against tick-borne diseases.
Ticks can carry and transmit agents of dangerous diseases such as piroplasmosis, Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis. It usually takes about 48 hours before the possibility of transmission of disease agents from the tick to the dog and cat occurs. Frontline COMBO® kills ticks in less than 48 hours. It does not prevent ticks from attaching to the animal's body, but they die before the time for possible disease transmission occurs.
Frontline COMBO® is waterproof
After application of Frontline COMBO®, it spreads over the superficial fats of the skin (by concentration gradient) from the spot of application to all parts of the body. From the surface of the skin, Frontline COMBO® penetrates and accumulates in the sebaceous glands, which makes it resistant to wetting and shampooing*.
* Animals should not be bathed 48 hours before and after product application to avoid reducing the skin fats necessary for its spread over the body surface.
Frontline COMBO® has a long-lasting effect
Accumulated in the sebaceous glands, Frontline COMBO® is released from there along with the fatty secretion, which is continuously secreted and spreads along the length of the hair. This provides a long-lasting effect of the product.
Frontline COMBO® is safe
Frontline COMBO® does not enter the bloodstream of the treated animal. It remains only in the skin and therefore has no systemic action (it does not damage organs and systems). It is important that Frontline COMBO® is safe for use not only in dogs but also in cats. It is safe and can be applied to young puppies and kittens (from 2 months of age), pregnant and lactating animals.
