This complete dietary food is characterized by a moderate content of high-quality proteins. The reduced levels of magnesium and phosphorus, the acidifying properties of methionine, significantly lower the pH value of the urine. It encourages water consumption to increase urine volume and flush the urinary tract. The herbs contained in the product, dandelion and nettle, are traditionally used as an adjunct to classic urinary tract therapy.
The moderate protein content, as well as the reduced levels of magnesium and phosphorus, contribute to the dissolution and reduction of the recurrence of struvite stones.

It is recommended to seek advice from a veterinarian before using this medical food for your dog or before extending the feeding period with it. For optimal dissolution of struvite stones, it should be fed only with this food for a period of 5 to 12 weeks, and to reduce their recurrence - up to 6 months. The transition to appropriate subsequent feeding should ideally be done in small steps of 10% over a period of at least 2-4 weeks. To prevent the appearance of struvite stones, reduce the indicated amount/daily requirement/ by 20-25% and replace it with Happy Dog dry kibble. Please regularly check the pH value of the urine.
