Peculiarities in the nutritional needs of aquatic and marsh turtles:
Most aquatic and marsh turtles are omnivores. They love to eat fish, other aquatic animals, and often aquatic plants. JBL offers a wide range of foods suitable for turtles, tailored to the size of the animals. Dried fish, crustaceans, mollusks, and insects are the most important and represent an appropriate natural diet for them. During JBL expeditions in South America, turtles were often observed eating snails. Smaller snails are swallowed whole. Snail shells are an important component in the mineral supply of turtles.
