Programming:
We recommend programming the automatic feeder before positioning it on the aquarium:
1. Open the battery compartment in the direction of the arrow, insert the three batteries according to the symbols and close the compartment.
2. Press the on/off button. Symbols will appear on the display.
3. Press the SET button: the time symbol will light up. Set the correct time using the hour and minute buttons (HR and MIN). Then press SET.
4. Feeding indicator 1 will light up. Set the desired feeding time with the HR and MIN buttons. Then set the desired food quantity by pressing the food quantity button repeatedly. Press SET again. There are 8 levels for the food quantity. The appropriate level depends on the size of the granule and should be tested.
5. Set all subsequent feeding times in the same way (up to 4 feedings) and press SET to finish. If you want to delete any of the feedings, set the time to 00:00. The corresponding indicator will disappear from the display.
6. Manual feeding: by pressing the manual feeding button several times (up to 8 times), you can give an additional portion of food. Feeding will start a few seconds after pressing the button. This is the best way to test the quantity of portions.
7. After switching off the JBL AutoFood with the on/off button, all settings remain unchanged and the clock continues to run. After removing the batteries, all settings must be programmed again.
8. By repeatedly pressing the SET button, you can go through the feeding settings once again.
9. If no button is pressed for 30 seconds, the clock will automatically appear on the display.
Installation:
1. The JBL AutoFood can be attached to the aquarium using holders with suction cups or using a mounting bracket. Attach the holders or bracket to the rail of the JBL AutoFood. If using suction cups, leave enough space between the two holders to ensure stability.
2. Install the JBL AutoFood so that no water splashes against the food outlet opening and ensure the electronics are protected from moisture.
3. Fill the food compartment with granulated food. You can insert a sealed 250 ml JBL food package into the top opening. Gently push it down towards the blade. The protective foil of the package will be cut enough for the food to fall out, and the foil will remain attached to the package without touching the rotating part of the dispenser.
4. It is possible to connect an air pump to the opening in the housing. This way, you will keep the food constantly dry.
