This harness is an improved version of the K9 Powerharness – the first harness developed by Julius K9 for military and police service dogs. Its advantages make it the most popular harness in Europe.
The most important improvement is the optimal distribution of the weight acting on the dog. Compared to other harnesses, the pulling force with the IDC-Powerharness does not act on the dog's neck, but on its chest. Julius-K9® achieves this by changing the position of the strap running across the chest. The size and position of the strap for optimal weight distribution are the result of mathematical calculations and differ for different dog sizes.
This harness also acts as a reflective vest, as it has reflective elements on various parts. This way, approaching cars will notice the dog from more than 100 meters away.
The harness undergoes an independent certified quality test (Crash-test). It achieves a tensile strength of 300 kg, at which point the buckle opens, but the harness does not tear.
At the top of the harness, there is a handle, which is very convenient for walks without a leash. It allows you to quickly and securely hold the dog. A fastener has been added to secure the handle and the ring, so that the dog does not get caught on branches or other sharp objects.
The flashlight holder is a necessary accessory for rescue and service dogs. But it is also ideal for evening walks, allowing you to monitor the dog's movement. Flashlight holder diameter: 15-20 mm.
The lining uses breathable OEKO-TEX® fabric, which does not irritate the skin and meets high standards set for the production of products for human use.
Universal pouches can be placed in place of the Julius K9 side patches, in which you can store documents, a phone, or treats.

When choosing the correct harness size, it is extremely important to properly measure your dog. Place 4 fingers behind the front legs to see where to measure the chest for harnesses of sizes 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4, and 2 fingers when measuring for sizes Baby 1 and Baby 2.
The chest circumference is measured where the strap under the belly should be located. Choosing the correct size will ensure the dog maximum freedom of movement and will protect its neck and shoulders.
