STRONGHOLD 120 mg 12%/for dogs 10 to 20 kg./-3 pipettes INDICATIONS Dogs: 1. Treatment and prevention of flea infestation caused by Ctenocephalides spp., for one month after a single application of the product, due to its effect on adult insects, larvae, and eggs. The product acts on eggs 3 weeks after application. Monthly treatment of pregnant and lactating animals helps protect newborns from infestation up to seven weeks of age. This product can be used as part of the treatment for allergic dermatitis. By acting on eggs and larvae, it contributes to effective control of flea populations in the environment in areas accessible to the animal. 2. Prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis through monthly administration. STRONGHOLD is safe and can be administered to animals with confirmed heartworm disease. However, it is advisable, in accordance with good veterinary practice, that all animals aged 6 months and older living in countries where these parasites are prevalent be tested for the presence of adult heartworms before starting treatment with STRONGHOLD. It is also recommended that dogs be periodically tested for heartworm infection as an important part of prevention against the spread of the disease, even with monthly application of Stronghold. 3. The product is not effective against adult D. immitis. 4. Treatment for ear mites (Otodectes cynotis). 5. Treatment for louse infestation (Trichodectes canis); 6. Treatment for sarcoptic mange (caused by Sarcoptes scabiei); 7. Treatment of adult forms of canine toxocariasis (Toxocara canis). CONTRAINDICATIONS Do not use the product on animals under 6 weeks of age. DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION Stronghold 15 mg, 6% - FOR DOGS FROM 10 TO 20 kg. STRONGHOLD is applied topically to the skin at the base of the neck at the Withers. INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER APPLICATION Remove the STRONGHOLD pipette from the protective packaging. Holding the pipette upright, press the cap down to pierce the applicator, then remove the cap. Part the animal's fur at the base of the neck at the Withers to expose a small area of skin. Place the tip of the STRONGHOLD pipette firmly against the skin without massaging. Squeeze the pipette firmly to empty the contents onto the designated spot. Avoid contact between the product and your fingers. Do not apply to wet fur. However, shampooing or immersing the animal in water 2 or more hours after treatment with the product will not affect its effectiveness. SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR STORAGE OF THE PRODUCT Keep out of reach of children. Do not store above 30° C. Store in a dry place without removing the foil packaging. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
