RENAL SPECIAL is a complete dietetic food for cats, formulated to support renal function in cases of chronic or temporary renal insufficiency, through its restricted level of phosphorus and high-quality proteins; to reduce the formation of oxalate stones, through its low level of calcium and vitamin D and urine alkalizing properties; to support liver function in cases of chronic liver insufficiency, through its moderate level of high-quality proteins and high content of essential fatty acids.
Duration of feeding:
The food is prescribed for a minimum of 6 months, after which a veterinary examination must be carried out. When diagnosed, 3/4 of the kidney mass has been lost and the disease is irreversible, the food must be maintained throughout the cat's life.

Restricted phosphorus intake is essential to reduce the development of secondary hyperparathyroidism, which contributes to the progression of renal insufficiency.
