OBESITY MANAGEMENT is a complete dietetic feed for cats, formulated for the reduction of excessive body weight. This feed has a low energy density.
Feeding duration:
Before prescribing, the individual target weight should be determined. The permitted energy (kcal) per kg of target body weight is based on the cat's body condition score (BCS) (e.g. 30 kcal for a BCS of 3.5 or 4.0 and 35 kcal for a BCS of 4.5 or 5.0). If the cat refuses to eat or loses weight too quickly, there is a risk of hepatic lipidosis.
Energy dilution

High protein content (> 110 g/1000 kcal ME) helps reduce muscle mass loss by 30%.
