A well-maintained aquarium with plants and beautiful fish is possible even in smaller aquariums. In this regard, sera fil 60 / 120 is ideal for small aquariums. The large filter volume (200/350cm2 respectively) guarantees optimal filtration, the best possible biological decomposition of waste, and provides crystal clear and biologically stable water.
Water purification in several steps:
Mechanical: large waste is mechanically filtered by the filter sponge in the first compartment.
Chemical: sera super carbon in the other compartment removes toxic organic pollutants, as well as pesticides and medications.
The third filter compartment included in sera fil 120 contains sera siporax mini®. Biological purification takes place in this part. sera siporax mini® has a large surface area for the development of beneficial purifying bacteria. This third part can also be added to sera fil 60.
The third compartment increases the useful filter volume and enhances the filter's capacity.

Recommendations for maximum efficiency:
For maximum efficiency, biological filters should operate continuously, being turned off for a maximum of 30 minutes for aquarium cleaning and maintenance. Do not disinfect or clean with detergents. The sponge and sera siporax mini® should only be rinsed in aquarium water. We recommend adding the biostarters (preparations containing purifying bacteria and enzymes) sera nitrivec and sera filter biostart with each filter cleaning.
In the first month after starting the filter, check nitrite levels twice a week with sera NO2 test (nitrate test), as well as after each filter cleaning. Frequent filter clogging is a sign of too many fish for this aquarium volume or overfeeding. With a normal number of fish, clean the filter every 3-4 months.
Regularly check for filter clogging from plant leaves and waste.
