Water quality is crucial for the successful rearing of fish and other living creatures in a garden pond. It will not be a problem if you choose the right filter.

The bio-mechanical active filter sera KOI 12000 Professional Pond Filter is ideal. It provides optimal protection against contamination for ponds up to 20,000 liters or koi ponds up to 12,000 liters.
The secret to its success is its three-stage system:
1. The pond water passes through a 55 W UVC system (See figure). The electronic ballast (starter) is built into the E 14 UVC lamp (1). This combination significantly simplifies replacement after reaching
the lamp's limit. The integrated electronic ballast saves up to 65% electricity, and the system is much less prone to problems than conventional UV lamps without a built-in electronic starter.
2. The water passes through a stainless steel plate (2) with 200 μm diameter openings, where small particles of leaves, waste, and pebbles are removed immediately and effectively. Even algae that have coagulated from UV irradiation are filtered in this step. Below the steel plate, the water is strongly swirled and enriched with oxygen (3).
3. After the water is filtered through the UV purifier and the stainless steel plate, the water enters the final filtration step, being evenly distributed through a layer of pressed wool (4). The water slowly passes through approximately 10 liters (2 kg) of sera Siporax pond 25 mm and provides biological purification in the filter.
The sera KOI 12000 Professional Pond Filter can be maintained with little effort; and the parts that need to be cleaned are easily accessible.
The three-stage filter is moisture-resistant and does not require additional protection from rain. Made of high-quality plastics, the filter is reliable, economical, and effective. Equipped with connectors for all common hose diameters (19mm, 3/4"; 25mm, 1"; 32 mm, 1 ¼ " and 40 mm, 1 ½ ").
