The presence of worms parasitic on fish creates great problems for aquarists. Worms and flukes parasitic on the gills and skin of fish cause great damage. They multiply quickly and usually the damage is noticed late. These parasites are very adaptable and their treatment is usually difficult.
For an effective solution to these problems, Sera offers a new product developed by the specialized German laboratory Alpha-biocare, working together with the University of Düsseldorf. Unlike other preparations for treating aquarium fish, the active ingredients here are not dyes. They do not break down in light and no additional dosing is required. They are not affected by water parameters, temperature, and biological filters can remain on during treatment. One of the ingredients in Sera med Professional Tremazol is the very effective Praziquantel, which is successfully used to treat parasites in veterinary medicine. The patented highly effective complex for dissolving the active substance ensures the dissolution in water of otherwise difficult-to-dissolve substances. This guarantees the fastest possible dissolution of the active substance and its delivery to the pathogen.
Sera med Professional Tremazol is effective against the aforementioned gill (Dactylogyrus sp.) and skin (Gyrodactylus sp.) flukes, worms of the genus Bothriocephalus, and flatworms of the genus Transversotrema. Highly effective against parasites, it is well tolerated by fish and plants in the aquarium. This preparation is successfully used in freshwater and saltwater aquariums.
Instructions for use: Against gill worms: 1 ml of Tremazol per 15 liters of water. For all others: 1 ml per 20 liters of water.
Use the measuring cup to evenly distribute the dosage over the surface of the aquarium water and then stir with a spoon or stick. After 6 hours, replace 80% of the water in the aquarium.
If the water becomes cloudy, replace it immediately. In the case of gill worms, repeat the same operations after 7 days. During treatment with the preparation, turn off UV lamps and aerate the water. Biological filters can operate. After completing the treatment, we recommend filtering the water with sera super carbon.
Use in a quarantine tank: We recommend this method especially for large volumes of water. Dose Tremazol as directed in a small tub or basin. Place the sick fish inside for about 20 minutes and then return them to the aquarium.
Ensure good aeration of the tank (e.g., with an air stone).

Keep out of reach of children and pets! Protect skin and eyes! Store at room temperature in a place without direct sunlight. Do not use for fish intended for human consumption. Do not use in aquariums with echinoderms (Echinodermata). The measuring cup is included in the set.
