Sera Nature makes ornamental fish feeding even more natural. All food types in the series (e.g. Sera San Nature) are based on the compositions of their namesakes (e.g. San), but are produced without the use of colourants and preservatives. The colour of the flakes comes exclusively from added natural ingredients such as Haematococcus algae and krill.
Krill, rich in carotenoids for natural coloration
San Nature is characterized by an increased percentage of krill (marine crustaceans). Krill not only supports colour development but also increases the uptake, vitality, and reproductive readiness of ornamental fish. These properties make krill an ideal ingredient for colour-enhancing food, such as the new San Nature.
Natural ingredients matter
Healthy eating is also a current topic in aquarium care. High-quality food is fundamental and is not only beneficial for health but also for digestion. Food that is easily digestible by fish leads to reduced water pollution, thus resulting in better living conditions and consistently clear water. According to modern scientific studies, a diverse diet with natural ingredients is the best protection against potential deficiencies. Vital substances such as vitamins, pigments, antioxidants, complex secondary plant compounds, as well as prebiotics and probiotics are beneficial and essential substances added to the food.
According to current scientific findings, mainly natural vital substances such as astaxanthin have a particularly beneficial effect on well-being, disease resistance, and longevity. Astaxanthin is derived from Haematococcus algae and not only possesses antioxidant, fertility-enhancing, and immune-boosting properties but also further enhances the coloration of ornamental fish. Compared to synthetic astaxanthin, natural high-quality raw material leads to better results.
