Natural Feeding of Ornamental Fish with the New Nature Food Series
“sera Nature” makes feeding ornamental fish even more natural. All types of food in the series (e.g. sera Vipan Nature) are based on the compositions of their namesakes (e.g. sera Vipan) but are produced without the use of colorants and preservatives. The color of the flakes comes exclusively from added natural ingredients such as Haematococcus algae. In addition, the food is enriched with high-quality ingredients such as krill, spirulina, or sustainably produced feed from Hermetia flies.
Insect Feeding as a High-Quality and Sustainable Protein Source
Vipan Nature contains edible insects, corresponding to the natural dietary spectrum of ornamental fish. However, there are other good reasons for using insects in ornamental fish food: Food derived from small flies (Hermetia illucens) is rich in protein, very easily digestible for ornamental fish, and provides the necessary nutritional profile. In addition, the production of insect feed saves many natural resources.
The flakes retain their shape, do not pollute the water, and are suitable for all ornamental fish that feed on the surface.
Natural Ingredients Matter
Healthy eating is also a current topic in aquarium care. High-quality food is the foundation and is not only beneficial for health but also for digestion. Food that is easily digested by fish ensures a reduction in water pollution and thus leads to better living conditions and permanently clean water. According to modern scientific studies, a varied diet with ingredients close to nature is the best protection against possible deficiencies. Vital substances such as vitamins, pigments, antioxidants, complex secondary plant substances, as well as prebiotics and probiotics are beneficial and essential substances added to the food. According to current scientific findings, mainly natural vital substances such as astaxanthin have a particularly beneficial effect on well-being, disease resistance, and longevity. Astaxanthin is derived from Haematococcus algae and not only possesses antioxidant properties, fertility enhancement, and immune-boosting effects, but also further enhances the coloration of ornamental fish. Compared to synthetic astaxanthin, natural high-quality raw material leads to better results.
