Nutrient-degrading bacteria in a stable, permanent form begin to work and multiply immediately upon contact with water. They remove algae nutrients – especially phosphates – from the water, thus effectively combating unwanted algae in the aquarium based on the principle of nutrient competition. The dosage is only two "tablets" per liter of water (for larger aquariums, 26g per 50L, and one package is sufficient for an aquarium with a volume of 400 liters), which can be placed in any small internal filter. They can also be placed in an external filter or used as a base under the substrate in the aquarium.
The activity of the bacteria decreases after one month, with filter cleaning and frequent water changes.
