In biologically active aquariums, usually the bacterial flora ensures the reduction of ammonia levels and converts it through nitrites into non-toxic nitrates.
But like all biological systems, the bacterial flora must first adapt to the specific conditions in the aquarium.
In case of a sharp increase in nitrite and ammonia levels, it takes several days to reach normal values.
The other alternative until now was frequent water changes, which, however, weakens the bacterial flora.
With sera toxivec, sera offers you a pollutant remover as well as balancing nitrite and ammonia levels in about 60-90 minutes.
Every normal dose of sera toxivec lowers ammonia and nitrate levels by an average of 30-50%, with the maximum that can be removed with one dose being 1.3 mg/l ammonia or 0.75 mg/l nitrites (= 0.23 mg/l NO2 – N).
In case of higher contamination, it is recommended to increase the dose according to the instructions for use or to redose after 1-2 hours.
Thus, sera toxivec allows you to fill the aquarium with fish faster. Also, in cases of contamination, it instantly and effectively protects fish from being damaged until a stable bacterial environment is formed.
