Oxidative stress (oxygen stress, stress load) is a condition of impaired balance between free radicals (oxidants, reactive oxygen species) and antioxidants in the body. Both free radicals and antioxidants are normally found in the body, as they are necessary for many vital processes to function properly. When there is a balance between them, the body functions correctly. However, when there is increased production of free radicals or reduced antioxidant activity, oxidative stress occurs.

KEY COMPONENTS OF VIEWVET®
Lutein and Zeaxanthin Belong to xanthophylls - plant pigments from the carotenoid group. They play an important role in protecting the retina from changes caused by UV rays and free radicals. They are not produced in the body and must be supplemented through diet. They lower the risk and intensity of certain retinal diseases, cataract development, and improve immune system activity. Lutein, due to its antioxidant properties and ability to filter high-frequency blue light from the light spectrum, protects the retina from degeneration and thus improves vision. In combination with zeaxanthin, they accumulate mainly in the lens and the central part of the retina - the macula. It is responsible for central vision and visual acuity.
DHA and EPA Have a high concentration in the structural membranes of the retina, thereby contributing to the maintenance and proper functioning of the visual organ. Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) has strong anti-inflammatory effects, improves retinal health, and protects against some types of cataracts and degenerative retinal diseases. Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) improves optic nerve perfusion, protects nerve cells from damage in diabetes, and reduces the risk of diabetic retinopathy.
Grape Extract It is rich in powerful antioxidants called proanthocyanidins, which fight free radicals, act as anti-inflammatories, and can inhibit some forms of cataracts. The flavonoids contained increase the elasticity of capillary vessels in the eye, including those in the retina.
Green Tea Extract The polyphenols in green tea exhibit strong anti-inflammatory action, which helps reduce oxidative stress and is successful in preventing eye diseases based on the action of free radicals. In many experiments, it has been observed that the EECG substance (epigallocatechin gallate), found in green tea extract, exhibits antioxidant properties with a positive effect on eye tissues and protects them from reactive oxygen species. In addition, this substance shows strong protective action against UV-B induced damage to the cornea. In mice, this has been proven to be due to increased activity of antioxidant systems and inhibition of lipid and protein peroxidation.
Turmeric Extract Curcumin is a powerful antioxidant and protects the body from the action of free radicals.
Taurine Found in high amounts in the lens and retina. Protects vision from the harmful effects of ultraviolet light.
Selenium Necessary for normal enzyme activity in the elimination of toxic products from the body.
Zinc As a trace element, it is present in eye tissues and especially in the retina. It is an important component of the body's antioxidant systems, protecting it from reactive oxygen species. It contributes to better nourishment and perfusion of the eyeball and the suppression of complement activity in the pigmented epithelial cells of the retina.
Biotin Coenzyme for carboxylases. Participates in many important biochemical reactions.
Vitamin A Accelerates the regeneration of retinal pigment responsible for night vision. Vitamin A changes into a photosensitive pigment important for vision at dusk and in low light.
Vitamin C and E Belong to powerful antioxidants that protect cells from the effects of free radicals. Vitamin C strengthens blood vessel walls.
Vitamin B6 and B12 Support red blood cell production and nervous system function.
Vitamin B5 and B9 Contribute to reducing fatigue.
The supplement comes in a convenient Twist off capsule. One package contains 45 capsules. The dosage is 1 capsule per 10 kg of live weight.
