Vetgastril: A Product for Local Film-Forming Protection of the Esophageal and Gastric Mucosa
Introduction: The gastric mucosa, and almost to the same extent the esophageal mucosa, is extremely resistant to agents and effects, but once exacerbated, it must be immediately soothed to avoid very serious complications. Regardless of whether vomiting or regurgitation is observed or not, any acute or chronic exacerbation of the stomach and esophageal mucosa requires immediate action! Along with a number of medications that lead to this, local therapy is also needed to soothe and form a protective film, under which the mucosa, far from contact with natural juices and foreign agents, can calm down and regenerate. VetGastril is an ideal formula of several natural ingredients with synergistic effects in an ideal therapeutic form for this purpose.
VetGASTRIL for dogs, cats, ferrets, birds, rabbits, and other rodents, 50 milliliters oral gel, with an action based on a sucralfate complex with non-resorbable aluminum hydroxide, aimed at protecting the gastric mucosa. Upon entering the gastric environment under the influence of stomach acid, VetGASTRIL produces a viscous gel, forming a stable film. This film covers and protects the gastric mucosa from the action of various agents, especially hydrochloric acid. The gel adheres stably to the proteins of the gastromucosal cell membranes with increased affinity for damaged areas, forming an even more significant protective barrier against various corrosive agents in these places. Composition: sucrose, aluminum hydroxide, glucose syrup, glycerin, sugars from cane honey. Dosage: kittens – 1 milliliter daily, cats over 8 months – 2 milliliters daily, dogs up to 5 kilograms – 1 milliliter daily, dogs 5-10 kilograms – 2 milliliters daily, dogs 10-20 kilograms – 4 milliliters daily, dogs 20-30 kilograms – 6 milliliters daily, dogs over 30 kilograms – 8 milliliters daily; other target species: 0.2 milliliters per kilogram of weight daily. Application: shake and apply directly into the mouth half an hour before food or oral medications. If preferred by veterinary discretion, the daily dose can be divided into two administrations. Indications: for "exacerbated" esophagus and/or stomach due to gastritis, stomach ulcer, foreign body, vomiting, dilation, corrosive agent, viral or bacterial inflammation of the stomach, as well as for reflux esophagitis, including accompanying myasthenia gravis in cats, dogs, ferrets, birds, rabbits, and other rodents.
