Introduction: Osteoarthritis is a chronic, inflammatory, immune-mediated, progressive, debilitating and increasingly painful process that affects the joints and periarticular structures and is the most common cause of chronic pain and impaired quality of life in dogs – according to some studies, nearly 50% of dogs worldwide suffer from one form or another of osteoarthritis! Very often, the disease is unnoticed by owners, and it is only after the dog takes a pain-relieving product that they are amazed to witness a positive change, indicating the chronic problem that is embittering their pet's life. We usually associate osteoarthritis with the hip, knee, elbow, and toe joints, forgetting that the spine is richest in joints and their osteoarthritis leads not only to orthopedic pain but also to neurological pain, discomfort, and deficits.
The key point in canine osteoarthritis is the fight of the dog's own immune system against its own collagen molecules, which have separated from their usual containing structures (due to age, overweight, genetic predisposition, trauma, surgery, metabolic or hormonal syndromes, etc.) and entered tissues and fluids that do not usually contain collagen molecules. Flexadin Advanced flavored and palatable chewable tablets support joint metabolism with antioxidant action and multifaceted function, reducing joint and tendon pain and decreased mobility, improving the trophic and recovery of articular cartilage and tendon tissues, including in all cases and degrees of osteoarthritis in dogs.
Composition: UC II type collagen with undenatured type II collagen (patented formula), chicken cartilage powder (containing potassium chloride: 0.44%, total collagen: 0.36% (undenatured type II collagen)) 1.47%, fish oil (source of EPA), glycerin, brewer's yeast, oat flour, rye heartwood, oat bran, poultry liver powder, flaxseed oil, pectin, maltodextrin, calcium sulfate dihydrate. Vitamins, Pro-vitamins and vitamin-like substances: Vit E / all-rac-alpha-tocopherol acetate (3a700) 7000 IU. Composition of each tablet: omega 3 fatty acids 95 mg – Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) 9.3 mg – Total Vit E 21 IU.
Application: For dogs from 1-48 kg, 1 tablet daily. From 48-70 kg, 1 ½ tablets daily. Over 70 kg, 2 tablets daily. The preparation can be given directly into the mouth or mixed with food. The animal must have free access to water at all times. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. The preparation can be combined with a therapeutic commercial diet. Contains UC II type collagen with undenatured type II collagen 40 mg per tablet.
