Description:
Antiparasitic pipette for cats. Spot-on solution against fleas and ticks - for application to the skin.
Active substance:
Each 0.5 ml pipette contains: Fipronil 50 mg
Excipients:
Butylhydroxyanisole E320 0.1 mg
Butylhydroxytoluene E321 0.05 mg
Therapeutic indications: Treatment of infestations with fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.) and ticks (Dermacentor reticulatus). The product has a persistent insecticidal effect against fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) - lasting up to 5 weeks and a persistent acaricidal effect - lasting up to 2 weeks against ticks (Rhipicephalus sanguineus, Ixodes ricinus and Dermacentor reticulatus). If ticks of the species Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus are present at the time of product application, not all will be killed within the first 48 hours, but this will occur within one week.
The product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) diagnosed by a veterinarian.
Contraindications: In the absence of available data, do not use in kittens younger than 2 months and/or weighing less than 1 kg. Do not use in sick animals (diseases affecting the entire body, fever, etc.) or those in a convalescent period. Do not use in rabbits, as it may lead to adverse reactions or even death. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
Adverse reactions: If the animal licks the product, a brief period of hypersalivation may be observed, mainly due to the nature of the carrier. Very rarely, transient skin reactions at the application site (skin flaking, local alopecia, pruritus, erythema) and pruritus or alopecia affecting the entire body have been reported. Exceptionally, hypersalivation, reversible neurological signs (hyperesthesia, depression, nervous signs) or vomiting are observed.
If you notice any adverse reactions, including those not described in the leaflet, please inform your veterinarian.
Method of administration and dosage:
For external use only. For topical application to the skin, 1 pipette of 0.5 ml per animal.
Method of administration:
Shrink-wrapped pipette:
Hold the pipette upright. Press the pipette in the narrow part so that the entire contents pass into the main part. Break along the marked line of the spot-on pipette.
Part the animal's fur so that the skin becomes visible. Place the tip of the pipette against the hair and gently squeeze the pipette several times until it is empty. Repeat the procedure at one or two other spots along the backline, preferably at the base of the head or between the shoulder blades.
For optimal control of flea and/or tick infestations, the treatment plan should be adapted to the local epidemiological situation.
In the absence of safety studies, the minimum treatment interval is 4 weeks.
Special warnings: Fleas from pets most often infest the environment - beds, carpets, baskets, upholstered furniture and resting places. In case of massive invasion, these places should be dewormed with a suitable insecticide before treating the cat, and should be regularly vacuumed. The product does not prevent ticks from attaching to the animal. If the animal has been treated before it is infested with ticks, they will be killed within the first 24-48 hours after attachment. This usually happens before the ticks start to suck blood, which reduces, but does not exclude, the risk of disease transmission. After they die, ticks usually fall off, and if not, they can be removed by careful pulling. It is recommended to avoid frequent bathing with or without shampoo, as the degree of efficacy of the product in these cases has not been tested.
When used as part of the treatment of flea allergy dermatitis, monthly treatment of allergic patients and other cats in the household is recommended.
For optimal control of the flea problem in multi-animal households, all animals must be treated with a suitable insecticide.

This should not be done by direct spraying. It is recommended to spray the preparation onto a glove and then rub it into the facial area of the head. Animals should not be bathed 48 hours before and after treatment with the preparation, so as not to reduce the skin oils necessary for its spread throughout the body. Do not dry after treatment!
